Community Living London, Employment Services provides employment supports for people with a disability.   We currently are recruiting for a full time Job Developer, who can assess the labour market, skill level of participants and create employment opportunities that benefit both the participant and the employer by ensuring a great fit. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who is able to create and maintain positive relationships with participants, agencies and employers in the London area by providing timely and appropriate customer service.

EDUCATION:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing/Sales or Communications.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Clear police reference check for vulnerable sector. Current First Aid, CPR, CPI, Valid G class drivers licence and use of own vehicle with appropriate insurance is required

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in sales/marketing to businesses in a competitive business environment
  • Effective sales techniques and experience working with stakeholder expectations and meeting business targets.
  • Experience making “cold calls” and sales presentations resulting in successful business outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking.
  • Experience in data base entry, maintenance, produce weekly and monthly performance reports.
  • Maintain positive relationships with agencies and employers in the London area by providing timely and appropriate customer service

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with people with barriers to employment
  • Experience in job development principles including experience in job carving and employment negotiation.
  • Experience in securing paid employment opportunities.
  • Preference given to those who have successfully completed specific job development training.
  • Exposure to social enterprise, not for profits, or working with people with a disability would be an asset

Part-time Developmental Support Workers

Closing Date: Ongoing

Responsibility: Providing supports to people with developmental disability in their home to live fulfilled lives.

MUST HAVE Requirements:

  • Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police station within the last 12 months
  • Valid Ontario G2 or G driver’s license
  • Completed Health & Safety Awareness Certificate (free training available online at www.labour.gov.on.ca)

Other Requirements:

  • Completed/currently pursuing a related education (D.S.W, C.Y.W or equivalent) in the area of developmental disabilities and/or a demonstrated interest
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs such as Word processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, E-mail and Internet.

Preferred:

  • Current certification in CPR/First Aid
  • Related experience
  • Access to vehicle

Please Note:

Community Living London is only able to consider applicants for interviews who have had a police clearance issued by a local police station within the last 12 months.
