The Tyler Connolly Family Volunteer Award presented at this year’s Night of Heroes is a new initiative inspired by The Connolly family. The Connolly family wanted to start this award in honour of their son, Tyler. Tyler was born with severe cerebral palsy and the Connolly’s worked very hard to give their son the best life he could have. With support from the community and love from Tyler’s family, he is now approaching his 15th birthday. The Connolly family understands the struggle and sacrifices other families go through who have a child with a disability. The purpose of this award is to recognize a family who has a child with a disability and who still goes above and beyond to give back.
