What is Teach & Play?
Teach & Play is a toy lending library operated by Community Living London and funded by the United Way of London & Middlesex

Who is it for?
Teach & Play is geared toward children between 2 and 15 years of age and their families. The program is also accessed by Home Support Workers and Resource Consultants for the children they support, if family members are unable to attend.

How does it work?
Intake meetings are by appointment only. This can be at your home or at our office. During each visit, toys are introduced that will encourage the achievement of identified developmental milestones. Toys can be borrowed by the family during hours of operation and/or at appointments.

What are the benefits?
Teach & Play gives children access to a wide variety of toys and learning materials that otherwise might not be available to families. Of special interest are battery-operated adapted toys and switches geared to children who have physical disabilities or who are using switch toys with the direction of a Speech or Occupational Therapist.
Teach & Play also provides wonderful networking opportunities. Family members meet other families and may be connected to other community resources. Children interact with other children in an inclusive environment while they receive specialized one-to-one support.

Where is it located?

Childreach, 265 Maitland St., London Childreach is a great location where we can share space, toys and equipment.  This partnership also provides more opportunities for families to connect, expand the number of lending materials available, and for children to learn through play in an inclusive environment.
