Advocacy
Community Living London strongly supports self-advocacy for both individuals and their families. We help individuals and families meet their goals through regular meetings, that strengthen, coordinate and develop positive networks, and by advocating for supported inclusion in all aspects of community life.
Advocacy – The right to be included
Since 1951, Community Living London has been a vocal advocate. We believe that all people with an intellectual disability, young and old, have a right to be fully included in child care centres, schools, community centres, and workplaces. Our goal is supported inclusion for all. Locally, we assist individuals and their families to get access to the supports they need. Provincially and federally, we seek government support for the rights of people with an intellectual disability to be included in all aspects of community life.
