About Community Access Services

Community Access Services gets people involved in the neighbourhood where they live. We link adults who have an intellectual disability to meaningful leisure, recreation, practical learning and volunteer opportunities, creating a schedule of daily activities that is as unique as they are.
Our goal is to facilitate great life experiences. Whether it’s a night at the movies with new friends, Karate classes, learning to cook, or volunteering in the community, we connect people to valuable opportunities to learn and grow.

Many people start their day at one of our seven neighbourhood-based Community Access Centres. Some stay for part or all of the day, participating in a variety of programs and activities. Others use the Centres as a jumping-off point to explore opportunities in the neighbourhood and beyond.
Individuals are at the centre of all planning, making choices that reflect their goals and dreams. Schedules evolve as interests and abilities change and grow.

Community Access Services collaborates with many organizations in the community to offer more options. We count on our partners for specialized facilities and inclusive programs and activities.

How to Get Involved

Community Access Services offers many ways to get involved. Schedules and activities are customized to each person and can involve one or all program areas:
