Children's Services links children and families to a wide variety of services and supports for children with an intellectual disability who are under 18 years of age. Services range from skills development programs to respite care and accommodation.
Some services are provided directly by Community Living London. Others are provided by partner agencies in the community. Contact information is listed after each service.

Teach & Play

Teach & Play gives children access to a wide variety of toys and learning materials that otherwise might not be available to families. Of special interest are battery-operated adapted toys and switches geared to children who have physical disabilities or who are using switch toys with the direction of a Speech or Occupational Therapist.

Teach & Play also provides wonderful networking opportunities. Family members meet other families and may be connected to other community resources. Children interact with other children in an inclusive environment while they receive specialized one-to-one support.

Community Living London offers three different respite services: Weekend relief, Extended relief and Adult Services. All three services give caregivers an opportunity to have their family members supported outside of their home by qualified, trained support staff.
Family Support provides linkages for families to advocacy, counselling, ongoing emotional support and information about services for children with an intellectual disability. Family Support Workers assist families to obtain the services that best suit their needs. They also help caregivers become more effective advocates for their children.
